Default 2012 Accent sub/amp.

Has anyone successfully installed a sub in the 2012 Accent? Tips? Tricks? I have no idea where to start without a (the nonexistant) wiring diagram.

I ran my power cable today on my 2012 accent, there is a round rubber boot on the drivers side about 4" in dia. That goes through th firewall *** for the rest of the wiring I have not started yet.

A yellow wire on the radio will be your accessory for your remote, then your rear left is red and blue next to eachother, and right rear is orange and blue next to eachother and your blues are negative and red and orange are positive.

P.S. Idk how much you know about wiring but do you know that you need a hi/lo impedance adaptor(converts stock wires to RCA)

I know enough to solder (probably twist cap, actually) the adapter in there and such, yes. Ya I found a kit with the adapter and the power cables and such.

How do you recommend opening the plastic to get at the stereo without ruining it? (of course)

I appreciate the replies on both threads, much obliged.

At the bottom of the silver trim there are two gaps just big enough to put a flat head screwdriver or trim remover in make sure you get it in there pretty far cause I had to pull fairly hard before it would pop loose then just pull on the sides with your hands afterwards you cant tell I ever took it off.
