AMP AND SUB QUESTION
i have a 2001 sonata. at first it had a bazooka tube hooked up to the stock radio, which was done professionally by a shop before i had the car. the tube quit working so i decided to add 2 12" subs with an 800 watt Cantus banda 2800amp. it had speaker level rca inputs for the amp, and the remote is hooked up to the ignition. so when i installed an Eiger Vision EV-4300N radio, i decided to run line level rca inputs for the amp. i thought the bass would be less distorted and harder hitting.
with the new radio the 4 regular speakers are louder but the subs dont seem to be as good as they should, one sub is an Impulse 300 watt. the other is an Earthquake 250 watt. i know this is not enough speaker forthe amp i have so the amp is turned down, but it should be hard hitting. how can i get the bass to hit so hard that your voice sounds electronic(if you talk while the sub is whamming).

does the radio have a deicated subwoofer output rca ? If you are using the line levels then turn up the line level output, if you bought a quality box it will have a adjustment point. If not buy a better line level at a local walmart or online for $10. That will boost the signal. Then turn up the amp outputs until your bass has more punch to it. A 300 watt bass amp is fine for up to a 10" sub.
