2004 sonata pulsating brakes (non-ABS)
I'm selling a 2004 Sonata GLS, V-6, for a friend's father who is in a nursing and can't drive. 18 months old with 12,800 miles and everything seems great except that when I brake hard from a moderate speed, I can feel a pulsation thru the brake pedal. The car does not have ABS (I know what that sounds and feels like). My guess is a warped brake rotor, but since I have no previous experience with Hyundai's, I thought I would check to see if this is "normal" for Hyundai's before I have my local mechanic check it out. I don't feel comfortable selling it without fixing the problem or knowing that it is just a normal Hyundai thing. I would appreciate any thoughts on this problem.

RE: 2004 sonata pulsating brakes (non-ABS)
i think this happens when u are going on a high speed and then braking to a very low speed i think that is the brake rotor and brake pads.. the brake rotor became a bit wavey so it makes that pulsing.. i think if u changed the brake rotor and the brake pads it will do the trick but just buy the original one from hyundai that is has the stamp of HMC (hyundai motor company) and dont buy anything else except the original one from hyundai....
