2009 Sonata low beams replace, Help!
Hi, i was looking into replacing my low beams on 09 sonata, and i cant find the bulbs that have that little connector at the base of the bulb
I know the bulb is H7, but its different on 2009 model, its called easy snap or click i believe
Does anyone know where to get those?
thanks for help in advance

The 2009 Sonata owners manual specifies a 55 watt halogen with a Px26d base for the low beam headlight. I've seen these referenced as H755, Type 499, Type T3.5and/or Type T4.625 (which is a new designation to me) bulbs. Unless there was an undocumented bulb change for 2009, they should look like:

These are listed in GE's automotive bulb catalog as H7-55.

Would this, perchance, be the bulb?

The quick and dirty answer is that Hyundai has changed the low beam bulb specification for the 2009 Sonata from an H7 type to the newer H11b "snap-in-lite" bulb, without making any changes to the owners manual or on-line documentation. I think only OSRAM-Sylvania is manufacturing these bulbs and only as an OEM supplier to Hyundai, Kia and who ever else is using this bulb type. For now I think you have to buy OEM replacements from the dealership. Aftermarket upgrades? For now there doesn't appear to be any, but I know my internet search was not comprehensive. For sure the H11b type is not common. Hyundai has been using these in the Elantra and some Kia models for 3 or so years, so you would think other bulb manufacturers would be catching on.

2009 sonata bulbs
I also have a 2009 sonata the bulbs are H11b also 55w I'm having an issue with them not working I replaced both and can't figure out why they won't work checked fuses and all other possibilities the only thing I haven't done is change the ambient light sensor for the auto lights that's my last step before taking to a mechanic

I would check to see if the head light socket has 12 volts when the lights are turned on
If they turn on then check the bulb filament to see if it is solid and no breaks
Then see if the connection is good or not.
