Default Defrost Problem

On very humid days (and since I leave in Florida that can be many days) lots of moisture deposits on the inside of the window and the defrost no longer clears it. I have had to turn the heater up to maximum with the defrost on but this does not consistently work. I also think the heater and air conditioner do not work as well as they use to. I have an 2005 Elantra. Does anyone have any suggestions on the problem?

Are you losing coolant? Misting up like that is a sign that maybe your heater core is leaking.

A friend thought that may be the problem and told me to check the carpet on the passengers side to see if it was damp. The carpet was not damp. Is there another way to check to see if I am losing coolant?

Look in the radiator and see if it's low.
