Default Dip stick accurate?

I have a 2018 Sonata with 2.4 litre engine. The oil capacity is 4.8 litres. After every oil change the reading on the dipstick indicates an overfill of almost a litre. I thought I was getting oil dilution with gasoline so I had the oil changed early. After the oil change the oil level was still high. Now I am wondering if the problem may be the accuracy of the dipstick.

Not enough information
When are you getting the oil change?
Temperature of engine at time of oil change and when you check it?
Who does oil change and how much is taken out and added?
How is it checked?

All these things can affect what you see.
Changing oil when cold and adding cold oil then checking with it hot will give different readings
Also, not waiting long enough for oil to flow to the bottom will give inaccurate readings.

Over the last 2 years I have had 4 oil changes. The oil level is always over the full mark no matter when I check it. I had an oil change yesterday and checked the oil this morning and it was an inch over the full dot.
The dipstick has an orange handle and all metal stick, no plastic gauge at the end. There are four marks on the stick, an L, a dot, another dot and then an F. I assume the two dots are the low and full markers. The oil level is passed both the dot and even the F.
I watched the oil being change and I know all the old oil drained out and they put the proper amount in. Is it possible that the car came with the wrong dipstick.

Do we know if the oil filter was actually changed? That could account for some of the overfill you see.
