Default engine stumble

Im baffled,

i have a 98 tibby 194000kms on it and I've been having the weirdest trouble with my car. It happens when the engine is hot and im in traffic when I go to accelerate the engine cuts out for a second then keeps on going this will only happen in 1st or 2nd gear.

the check engine light came on so I went to the dealer to have it scaned, it came up as evap leak meaning that there was a leak in the fuel system the techs were baffled and tried the one thing that has been a problem with santa fe's they changed that purge valve for the evap canister. Well that fixed the problem for a while but now the problem is back just has before.

has anywone ever had this problem before

It may be a vacuum line. Have you checked those yet?

Does it feel like it just "falls on it's face"? I had that problem with my XG-300 and after several trips to the dealership, it still couldn't be diagnosed. We finally found a certified technition who found it to be a faulty ignition module. Your model seems to be outside the year of the specific recall, but it may be worth looking into.
