fuse blowing
i have a 2004 accent 1.6 auto and i have a problem with the lighting curcuit,it keeps blowing the two 10 amp fuses in the engine comp because it is turning on both of the cooling fans.with the cooling fans disconected the fuses do not blow, and as soon as i hook the fans up they start too turn until it draws enough too pop the fuse.i am pulling what is left of my hair, does anyone have any idea thanx todd

thanx for the reply, the fusible link is good, the 2 fuses that blow are the side marker/light circuit fuses in the fuse box.if i pull the fusible link the fans will still run and blow the marker light fuses.is there a module in the system that both circuits are on?thanx todd

Sounds like somebody Scottish engineered the fans to run off fuses which are too small. You should try to trace the wires and see if you see anything cut and spliced. Electric motors most certainly draw more current than little marker bulbs. If all else fails, run a hot wire off the battery and connect that to the fans, and go out and buy a fuseable link for it. That'll fix it.
