Default TIBURON TROUBLE

2004 TIBURON GT, 51,000 MILES, AUTOMATIC. SOMETIMES IT HAS TO CRANK FOREVER BEFORE IT WILL START, OTHER TIMES JUST BARELY TURN THE KEY AND IT STARTS, RECENTLY HAD THE INJECTORS CLEANED. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHY IT SOMETIMES CRANKS OVER FOREVER BEFORE IT STARTS, ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS OR THE SAME PROBLEM?

Why did you have the injectors cleaned? Sounds like it might be related. How did they clean the injectors? Did they pour some "snake oil" in the tank, or did the physically remove the injectors and clean them that way? Did some sleazy maintainence jock talk you into it? Is there a "check engine" light on?

If it were my car, I'd probably be changing the fuel filter right now.

It would be good to change the spark plugs, and the air filter. That's all you do for a tune up. The fuel filter sounds like it needs to be changed for your starting problem.

On second thought, I think they're platinum spark plugs, you probably don't need to change them. Just change the air filter and the fuel filter.
