'10 Accent, adding DRL's?
I recently bought a new '10 Accent GLS. My old car had daytime running lights, and I wish this car had them too. I'm one of those people that feel they should be also mandated here in America, not just Canada. DRL's are proven to be effective at reducing daytime crashes, things to consider while driving a small car among the incompetents with such large suvs. Can DRL's be added to the Accent? Are there kits, or something I can order from Hyundai? How hard is it to install them?

First, I don't believe in DRL for cars. If you can see a car in daylight, you shouldn't be driving. Second, it makes motorcycles harder to see. Motorcycles use their lights in the daytime to help them been seen easier in a mass if large cars but when every car on the road has their lights on, motorcycles lose their advantage.
You don't need real DRL's anyway. Just turn your lights on and leave them on. The lights shut off automatically when you turn the car off and have the same effect.

Like Nova said, leave the lights on. You will note that when you put in the key, the parking lights and dash lights go on, when you start the car, the headlamps go on. When you remove the key, the parking lights stay on, until you open the driver's door. My headlights have been on since last May. Better that DRL's because your taillamps are lit too, better in rain, etc.
