Default 1999 hyundai accent

I just bought a 99 accent and it has a mysterious problem, i bought the car non running then when i got it home it started and i drove it, then it wouldn't start any more. I do not know whats wrong with the car? I'm assuming its the coil pack. Does any one know what it could be?

Cool

I am almost 100% certain it is the crankshaft censor,I had a similar problem and I had it a Hyundai dealer yesterday,It cost me R980,dont know how much it is in youre currency, but it is not to hefty.
Any-one correct me if i'm wrong, the mechanic said it is a little thingy that is situated somewhere near the exhaust manifold. Its got a little plug on the one end and a round censor that fits in somewhere else??

There is a test you can do on the crank position sensor to see if it faulty unfortunately I don't have my book here at the moment. These little things are often the cause on non-starting motors or motors that suddenly cut out. Make sure all the usual suspects are OK such as the ECU being earthed etc.. but would be most likely the CPS needs replacing.
