gas tank
The Gas filter on mine is just like the first picture in this post. yes most all auto parts store will sell you a filter but the filter is the fuel pump assembly for some modles i sure of it.
All auto parts store will sell you a filter but none will ask you or know that some have the filter in the gas pump assembly. My gas pump assemble was
plastic welded so i could not get to and clean out the fuel filter so had to but a whole new fuel pump assemble and where i bought this assemble they asked me do i needed anything like
a fuel filter. lol

Unfortunately, a lot of auto parts stores only carry fast moving parts because they don't want to tie up their $$ in inventory.
Most commercial shops will purchase parts from the dealership because they don't make $$ sending back the wrong parts.
You may pay a little more buying certain parts from a dealership parts dept, but you will get the right parts the first time and they can't afford to have come backs due to poor quality junk parts.
If you decide to purchase parts for your vehicle, from a dealer, they will usually ask for your vehicles "vehicle identification number" VIN.
They can tell you what is in there, because they pull up all the info from your VIN..
Most folks are not aware of this and it can save them a lot of grief.
