Default 97 Accent Problems, lack of power,waterpump,drivebelts

i have a 97 accent and i have issues with the car, im not getting power but i changed fuel filter drained all liquids replaced rad. hose and now i got some power but i semi slow acceleration and when it gets to 3 grand it wont shift (automatic) also i was wondering if some one has a diagram of the drive belts stating which belt is for what, and where the water pump is located.

Unless your water pump is leaking, I'd recommend leaving it alone. I change it when I do the timing belt but, other than that, I leave it alone unless there's a problem. However, if you look on the HMA Website, you can see the water pump behind the timing belt here:
ACCENT(X3) >1997 > G 1.5 SOHC/DOHC > Engine Mechanical System > Timing System > Timing Belt > COMPONENTS


From what you described, it sounds like you may be having transmission issues rather than (or as well as) engine issues because you mentioned a shift problem. Could your performance issues be related to the shift problems? Does "all liquids" include flushing the transmission? Changing fluids is good but have you done any troubleshooting? If you still believe it's the engine... What do your plugs & wires look like? Any DTCs? Is the air filter clean and ducts clear? Exhaust line clear? Engine compression and/or vacuum okay? Fuel pressure? Tried any injector cleaner? etc
