Accent blower motor wiring harness

Accent blower motor wiring harness
I've got a 2008 Accent with a melted fan blower wiring harness (the wire connector that plugs into the blower motor). It's causing a bad connection and resulting in the blower functioning intermittently. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement wire harness to splice on? The dealership quoted me $1300 for parts and labor to replace the dash which is ridiculous.

Here is my suggestion. there are two plugs for the blower motor. the small one is for the blower motor. the bigger plug closer to the wall where passengers put there feet, is for the switch on the console. Remove the glove box, pretty easy. You'll be able to see much better what you're working on. remove the wire clips. remove the blower motor. clean the inside of the blower motor fan. There is probably a bunch of junk in there causing difficulty for the blower fan to turn. If you need a replacement part, check local auto recyclers. used parts yards. On the blower motor where the bigger clip is, that piece come off. you can change the switch control module separately. again, used is the best way to go. just make sure there is no corrosion and it should work. Hope this help fix your problem.

I always feel for customers who have one little issue with a wire and it ends up requiring the entire harness if they want to get a new one. If you want to avoid the cost of a harness I would suggest following the instructions of livelearnfix and go to a salvage yard.
