Accent Tires

RE: Accent Tires
Just to add, my tires are original factory tires (now I have about 20,000 miles) and I've heard that they are not the besy quality tires (which makes sense). In any case, at what mileage should I change my tires and what tire brand would suit my accent the best? Again, thank you for your responses.

Bridgestone...Yokohama...Michelin...those are my best picks. If you go to the "tirerack.com" website for the purpose of research you can look up the treadwear warranty for most of what they sell. You can then pick the tire with the longest treadwear warranty you can afford, and then buy em online, or locally, if you can find em. Tires rated at 60,000 miles or better obviously last the longest. These are less likely be the flatter high-performance tires, and more likely to be the rounder standard performance all-season tires. I've seen some Michelins rated at 80,000 miles, but these are top-dollar tires.

My opinion, look into Kumho Tires. I got a set of Ecsta ASX's for my Tib and love them. The Ecsta AST's and Solus KH16 are also good.
Other ideas: Falken ZE-502 or ZE-512
Look at Discount Tires or Tire Rack.

I have a 2001 Accent, and the best advice I can give you is to get rid of your factory rims and upgrade to 16". I got Sportmax rims and Falken Ziex 512 tires from EdgeRacing.com and I have never been happier...the car handles and corners better, the steering is tighter, and i dont scrape on bumpy roads....do yourself a favor and go bigger!
