Default Any difference?

Is there any difference in the base Accent that I own, and the SE mechanically? I mean I know all the options and stuff, I mean are the engines, transmissions, suspensions all the same, or does the SE have some advantageous items?

Yes, the base comes with smaller steel wheels while the SE has larger aluminum wheels with lower aspect ratio tires. It also has a sports tuned suspension (basically different springs and possibly different struts and sway bars).

Yep, larger factory wheels make a big difference. That's why I added the 18" wheels from a Veracruz to my Tucson.

They look sharp! I believe 4 wheel discs are on the SE as well.

Nope, the SE has rear drums just like the base. However, the SE does have ABS.

Yes but remember the Accent is an economy car and the lowest priced Hyundai available in the states. Rear drums are cheaper than discs.

That's true, I just figured the SE model, being a good deal more $, would have gone that route and put the discs at all corners.
