Anyone Elses 2003 Accent Act Strange When The Defrosters Are On?

Default Anyone Elses 2003 Accent Act Strange When The Defrosters Are On?
This is weird ,when I turn on my defrosters the car surges just as if the A/C pump was kicking on also the cooling fans will turn on. I dont understand why just running the defrosters all this is happening

What you are experiencing is normal if you are turning on the defroster with the temp setting in the blue. The A/C is activated to dehumidify the air.

The A/C is activated every time the windshield defogger is turned on. Regardless of the temp setting.
