Can someone help me with this question?
I have an 02 accent. It seems like everytime I try to replace something and use a non oem product. The product never fits. How is a manufacturer or company say a product is for a certain car and it never fits? I bought a non oem waterpump and it didn't fit and then kyb rear struts and the seat was too small. WTF, this is ridiculous.

In the case of the water pump, my guess is that the parts monkey simply pulled the wrong part. It's amazing how many people think Hondas and Hyundais are the same make. The struts... not sure there either.

the older accents i think 95 -00 are designed by mitsubishi and are like a shrunken evo unfortunately this means a lot of the hyundai parts wont fit, oftern the parts monkeys will see hyundai and then just go grab say a hyundai strut when in fact it is more likely to fit a mitsubishi strut.
there is one major side effect with this it means they made a lot of specialty parts for the car classic example is that the rubbers on the sway bar are thinner and have different heights to ever oem product avaliable cause they needed something to fit.
howeverthere is one benefit hyundai mass produces its parts, if you live in a city with a dealer then i recommend making good friends with one. the hyundai parts are very very cheap especially if you can get them at trade prices or lower, i replaced the whole front of my car for $500 thats 4 new panels and paint.
neway this is where i see your probluem arrising, but fix is just by hyundai they are cheap in some cases cheaper then oem
