Default Car dies when it heats up

When my 1998 HyundaiAccent 1.3 heats up it cutsout and thenthere is no spark until it cools down again. I have changed coil pack and leads, crank sensor andcoolant temperature sensor but the problem is still happening after doing this.

If anybody can help me diagnose this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you do a trouble code scan? Go to Autozone for a free scan.

thats an interesting one....definitely get a scan. with all the work you've done already i'm almost wondering if the computer is fried.

could you describe how it dies?

Read this thread, it's very similar. The owner says the problem is the coil pack, but it's not verified yet.

When I start the car from cold itticks overfor about 20 mins before it dies. It only dies when it is ticking over. I went to Autozonebut could not figure out how to do the free scan, I'm new to all of this computer stuff. I'm starting to think that the computer is fried to.

Thanks for the help.

When you go to Autozone, ask an associate to do a free trouble code scan. They walk out to your car, hook up a scan device, and tell you what the code is.

yes thats step one for sure. its a standard OBD2 hookup, a drunken monkey could do it.

as for the ticking....need more info. can you figure out where its coming from in the engine bay?
