Hello Boyos! (and Girlies, too.)

I have a 2008 Accent that I have become rather fond of. Around a week or so ago, I had a small mishap on the highway where a retread face was lying on the roadway. The car ahead of me had driven right over it which sent it flying into my front bumper. There was obviously no avoiding this as the rate of speed was approximately 90 kph. The bumper skin was damaged to the point where I have already purchased a new bumper skin.

I have the ambition to change the skin myself after the new one is painted. Besides disconnecting the battery to disable the airbag from deploying (if that's my first move), is there any other "trick" or information I should know before going on this little journey ?

 

Well, my last post didn't even get a "Hrumph!" or a "What are you thinking...?"

I have hopes of changing out the front bumper skin on my '08 Accent as it was damaged and I have purchased a replacement. After I pay to have it professionally painted, I may try to change the skin myself... Does anyone know the required steps I have to take? or is it just start peeling and then clip it all together? (with the battery disconnected so I don't trip the airbags) Help?

FRONT BUMPER COVER REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the bumper cover (A).

2. Installation is the reverse of removal.
