Well folks, it's finally here!
Every since I drove my Accent GS off the dealership lot in late July, I've been recording my mileage statistics and this morning I compiled them into a spreadsheet to calculate my averages.

Some points:
a) I purchase most of my fuel from Shell Canada, 87 Octane (Shell Bronze)
b) My daily commute (HOME-WORK-HOME) is about 55km total, of which 38km is Highway
c) No modifications or add-ons have been done to the car.
d) I am an average driver - no racing, car rarely goes over 120km/h

Hi northboy....I encourage you & every Accent ownerto compile MPG with U.S. gov'ts fueleconomy.com website. ALL your vehicles can be handled in 'Your Garage'. With your data, you can place information in NOTES. Also, you will have a line graph constructed foreach of your vehicles so you can compare the different conditions that your individual MPG tanks get. Also, you'll be able compare your MPG with MPG by other drivers of the same car. It will readily answer so many questions asked here about MPG.

 

Further MPG updates:

My wife got OK MPG thru a long winter & tough commute to work that finally rose as high as 32.5+MPG as the weather warmed. She began commuting in a Transit van, so Accent was left in the garage. On 3 daytrips to the mountains, Accent turned in 41.5, 42.6, & 45.1 MPG for me! Accent runs sweetly, shiftsimmaculately,& I think it will run a long time.

 

good day all,

I average around 36 - 40 miles per gallon with my accent depending how much i put my foot into it,
the best i have done was 42 miles per gallon and the worst was 30 miles per gallon.
