going to buy an accent, what to expect?
Hi new here to the forum and i'm looking to buy an accent tommorow hopefully. I just need help picking one of these 3.
( 99 auto,all new red paint,$ 4000, 85,000 miles)
( 02 manual, white, 159,000 miles, $ 3,700)
( 02 auto, silver, 58,000 miles, $ 3,700) lightscratch/dent on pass door and quarter panel.
These all have salvage titles but are in good condition and have been repaired well. I've bought a few cars from one of the shops and have friends that have bought from both. So I'm not wanting people to dog on how bad or unsafe salvaged cars are but just about the cars in general. These prices are with them being financed through them at no intrest, but they said i could get a better price with cash but i dont have it.
The silver one is the one i looked at the most and test drove, what I noticed was power locks, windows, i think itsaid 16v on the motor so whatever size that would be,and a CD player. not real sure on what all the others had for equipment.
The red is from one dealer and the two 02s are at a different dealer. But he won't go lower than that even tho its 3 yrs older and has higher milage.
With the two 02s i dont know why the same price even tho one has 100,000 miles more on it? But the silver with lower milage has a small scrape/ dent on pass door and rear quarter panel, so if that would make up the difference i suppose.
I'll keep browsing the current posts tonight and await some tips from you guys, and I want to be getting one of these tommorow afternoon. Thanks Ryan.
Also are there alot of aftermarket parts available and what are some options for customizing? Rims/body kits/performance, ect. I would like to go with a (mocked up)(fake) rally car theme with graphics, sponsor stickers, body kit. Like my geo metro which i will post pics up tonight. Are there any real or fakerally Hyundais out there? and any pics of them or any other sharp looking Accents? Thanks.

It wouldnt hurt to get the VIN numbers off all three and run a history report at www.carfax.com if the place you buying it from dont provide the service free of charge.
