Poach,
For a Hyundai there may be some difference, for the Jeep...just cut to length, clamp, boot-it and install it. Just that simple.
I was so freaked out thinkin' bout' it but, once I got into it I was amazed just how simple the procedure was.

Did you just get wider core wires from another make, to work on?

Poacher,
I purchased the custom wire kit from Summit Racing. Came with everything I needed, boots, clamps, and wires that I cut to length.
I forget the price now.

I think I will check with nology, and if no luck there I will look into some 8mm silicone wires. Making a set doesn't seem to scare me at this point. Maybe with the cutters in my hand that will be different!!!

What about the coil? I know the car has two seperate coil packs. Previous experience with saturns says that may not be possible(the two packs on a saturn both mount to a control module). Is it really as simple as removing the old one and replacing it with an aftermarket set of coil?

MSD ignition coils are the way to go. I can't remember if I already said that. I can't wait to make my new wires!!!

How do the msd coils attach to the wiring harness? There is a plug from the factory harness attached to the coils. How do you get around that??

The aftermarket coils replace the factory ones entirely, and use the existing plugs and brackets.

It sounds like a good upgrade if you are running a sound system.. Other then that. There is no really performance gains..
