Default No FM Radio

I have a 2002 Accent GSI and a few days ago my radio stopped receiving an FM radio signal! AM still works fine but FM is just static, sometimes you hear little pieces of something, like if you were manually trying to tune a radio and were inbetween stations.

Has anyone ever dealt with this before?

Have you checked the back of the head unit? There is a FM reciever antenna that plugs directly to the stereo on the bottom right (when looking at it from the front). If that guy popped out then you will get nada. I suggest that you look at that.

How do you actually get to it? I don't see how anything comes off.

I have never removed the head-unit on your year so I can't really advise on that one. If you ask the Tiburon guys they might be able to help. I know where all the wiring is but I don't know where the stock brackets are. I don't want you to snap anything off if you don't have to.

hey, i just joined this forum, and if you havent fixed that yet, try the connection directly at the antenna. i have an '01, and if its anything like the 02, open your trunk, look on the side that has the antenna, take off the one side piece of plastic, and look in there, you should see the antenna cable, and where it connects. that may have come loose. just fixed this problem in mine. hope it helps.
