Others have complained about this. Verify the problem someplace else, take it to AutoZone?

jsinton,

I tried driving the car without the gas cap to see if the check engine light would come on, but it didnt. I drove the car about 10 miles. I figure it would of came on. I am gonna get a hold of a obd2 scanner to see if it can "communicate" with it. The printout from the smog place said: This vehicle failed the mil/check engine light due to obd communication failure.

I takes a while to throw an emissions code like that. Try pulling off a spark plug wire, that should produce a code PDQ.
