Default P0335 error code

My teenagers 2000 Accent won't start, cranks over just fine but no spark at any of the fours wires. After plugging in an OBDII / EOBD + CAN Digital Auto scanner, I get P0335 error code and the on screen verb age "Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit". Is there a way to check the CPS any further. We brought coil packs on some basic advice & I'd like to check further before buying another part. FYI the car has over 150K miles.

look up that error code for that specific car under the DTC section on www.hmaservice.com. you will find full diagnostic procedures there. you must use IE and you must download the adobe plugin under the site requirements page. a free account (username) is needed.

Unplug sensor and ck for corrosion or water. Plug back in and see if it starts. Crank sensor failure common on accent especially with that mileage.

Most I have seen that have failed have actually been corroded connectors..aterin em stuff like that. Now less that half are just open circuits internal.
