Replace drive belt.
Hello all. I recently got engaged to my wonderful girlfriend and that being said I am now engaged to her stuff including her Accent. Well recently the engine check light came on her 2003 hatchback and long story short her tranny is getting replaced. In addition the clown at the dealer wanter $670 for a "tune up" and wants $160 + tax to replace the drive belt. How hard is it to replace the drive belt myself? I do some moderate wrenching. (Ive pulled the heads off my motorcycle to name one) so I dont have a probelm getting into moderately difficult projects. Thanks and nice to meet all of you.

RE: Replace drive belt.
A drive belt can be done with a socket wrench and the appropriate size socket. Use it to move the tensioner pulley and you'll be able to slip off the belt. Total time no more than 20min including putting the tools away. You might require a spare set of hands to slide the belt off, depending on how tight the tensioner pulley is.
