starting/wiring problem....help!
so for a while now, my accent has trouble starting when its cool/damp outside. its only gotten worse and i need this car for commuting badly. my guess is a bad wiring connection somewhere, but i suck with wiring. any help plz!
car in question is a 2004 accent GSI, 1.6L, manual
normally, i get no error codes....until now. its finally dropping some hints.
i'll get out there and will crank fine, everything seems to power fine. thing is i can crank for a while before it finally decides to start. i understand that the crank sensor can cause this.
other day i FINALLY got some error codes from the ECU. they appeared WHILE STARTING:
P0036, H02S heater control circuit (bank 1, sensor 2)
P0030, H02S heater control circuit (bank 1, sensor 1)
P0562 System Voltage Low
Freeze Frame Data:
Fuel Sys 1 - OL-Fault
Fuel Sys 2 - CL-Fault
calc load - 3.92%
ECT - 66ºF
STFT B1 - 0.00%
LTFT B1 - 2.34%
MAP - 29.23 inHg
Vehicle Speed - 0 mph
also, been having an ongoing problem which may or may not be related: every time i fill the car up it bitches about cyl 1 misfire....and goes away. normally can't feel a thing, once or twice felt a VERY slight rough idle. however tach didn't budge and it won't stall or anything.
steps: inspected crank sensor connection, replaced plugs and wires, tested coils according to HMA service. tried spraying some 'spray and go' stuff on the crank sensor, its for ignition to absorb water if it gets wet and won't start. didn't seem to help any.
i've also taken the fuel pump apart and fully inspected, seems fine.
any ideas here? what would toss out my 02 sensors and give me low system voltage at the same time?

actually i think this forum is pretty cool
as far as the engine turning over but no starting goes most likely the crank sensor, very easy to change, but make sure when the old sensor is removed that you clean the rust from the mounting area on the block as it will create a larger gap between the end of the sensor and crank trigger giving a week signal
sometimes the main relay will fail (located under left side of dash) but try the crank sensor first
the other codes are probably due to excessive engine cranking, it takes 35 miles of driving to put back into a battery what one start takes from a battery, so charge your battery!
