hey i have a 1997 excel sprint (accent)and just recently bought a aftermarket tacho as i wish to see how many revs in doin etc.. i can find the distributer however cant find the coil which got me thinking the coil is probably then built into the engine...

i dont have a tacho built in next to the speedo so ive heard i cant splice any wires to get the signal...does anyone know where i can get the tacho signal from??ive been talking to my mate and apparently i am meant to tap the green wire from the tacho into one of the three different coloured wires coming out of the distributor to get the signal..theres a yellow, red and a blue one...is this corrent?? thanks for any help! appreciated
