I am sorry that you have gone through so many transmissions, but the replacement is not neccessary.

The bands and clutches within these automatic transmissions are sensitive to incorrect fluids. Hyundai SPFIII is to be used only.

The other reason in your transmission staying in 3rd gear is because of the reed switch within the speedo head. The name for the action that is happening, when stuck in high gear, is called Limp Mode.

What you will be required to do is to take your vehicle to your nearest Hyundai dealer and have them check your Data trouble codes and verify what I have just told you.

If you can get a hold of the codes and let me know what they are I may be able to help you alot more.
