What???...No Suggestions??
I cannot believe NO ONE has offered any opinion or advice on swapping out OEM tranny fluid with synthetic Amsoil ATF!!! Shocked more like it. I have read that this stuff is fantastic in the colder weather. Well, I'll guess I'll have to go this alone. I'll let ya'll know how things make after I'm done.

No matter what you may have heard to the contrary, a security police person does not have ice water in his/her veins, a heart of stone, eyes in the back of his/her head and a grudge against his/ her fellow man. He/she is hated, abused ignored and misunderstood. A security Policeperson can be found everywhere on base, at any time, especially when you don't want him/her. They drive cars, trucks and motor pool rejects from WWII. When they aren't riding around, they are walking. They walk in grass, mud, sleet, hail, snow rain and scorching weather, on water, concrete, ice and aching feet.
When they aren't walking or riding, they are standing. They stand Honor guards, parades, inspections, retreat, sentry duties and at attention. When they are walking, riding or standing, they are saluting. They salute the flag, officers, VIPs and sometimes enlisted ranks, just to be sure they haven't missed anyone.
A Security policeperson is required to have the wisdom of Soloman, the patience of Job, the tact of a diplomat, the manners of Emily Post, the interrity of J.Edgar Hoover and present the appearance of a West Point Cadet....while chasing a dog.
When he/she does his/her job, nobody pays attention, but if he/she goofs everybody knows it.If he/she picks up your child for being out late at night, he/she is a bully picking on an innocent child, but if he/she picks up your neighobs' child, he/she should have done it long ago. One of the first lessons a Security Policeperson learns is that you cannot please any of the people some of the time.
There are days when he/she wonders if he/she ought go Awol or change into another career field, or maybe jump in front of a moving bus, but then he/she gets a little better assignment, or it quits raining, and he/she hears that the promotion field is getting better and someone says " Thanks! for a job well done", and he/she feels things are not really so bad and he/she might just be able to make it until its its time for him/her to leave for good.

RE: What???...No Suggestions??
Noone truly feels like that for SP's. They may not be ther when you need them or there when you don't, But I don't know of one person on the flightline who would want such a thankless job. A job that if not filled would leave alot of people very vulnerable. I fo one am grateful for the dedicated SP's that watch over my area of an Alert ramp. sitting in a POS chevy truck with no shade in 110 degree heat..... NO A/C. Or at 3 in the morning when it is 20degrees outside and I am sleeping soundly in the alert faucility.
Sure we give them alot of crap for everything, but noone wishes they were gone entirely.
I don't know if any of that made sense........but this will.
Thank you for all of your hard work. You ARE appreciated.
