North American warranty
Hello,
Here is a post for those who like to find a little bit more about hyundai warranty.
I am a Canadian resident who happened to go on holiday in Maine America last Christmas.
Now, what you are told when you buy a hyundai car (a new Azera 07 in my case) is that the car is warranty in America too if you are on holiday.
Well, my radio broke before New Year. So I phoned my home town hyundai dealership and they told me to go to the nearest American dealership, they will deal with my problem.
Because I didn't want to travel 12 hours without music on the way back, I decided to do so...
I drove more then 3 hours (yeah, I know... not many hyundai dealership in Maine..) so they would have a look at the car.
Anyway, arrived in Augusta and after telling what was happening with my car (letting him clearly know that it was a Canadian car) the guy tells me to come back later because everybody was on lunch...
One hour later, came back and proceed paper work with the dealership. Gave him the keys and waited 10 minutes in their lounge.
Same guy came back with the keys telling me that they could not "touch" my car because they had problem in the past getting pay for some work they did on another Canadian car....
Once back in my hotel, contacted Canadian hyundai for some explanation.
Yes, I did get some apologize but not really going to make my radio work is it?! I think it was the Regional Maine director but heh, I waisted precious holiday time and gas for nothing.
A really disappointing experience... Today, hyundai still refuse to pay for my gas. It is going to be a long battle.
Oh... btw... I made the radio work myself. Unplug the audio fuse and back in. That's all it was...
Azera 07 (28K kms, black, Ontario) for sale.
