Default Timing Belt Replacement

Here we are in July 2011 and my '07 Azera with 3.8 V-6 just touched 70 grand. Looked in the owners manual for info on timing belt replacement interval and found nothing mentioned anywhere. I see that there is an older thread here from 2008 indicating most Hyundai engines with belts need them replaced at 60K miles. Dealer info is the same. Just wondering why, if this is so important, it isn't included on the factory recommended maintenance schedule (or anywhere else for that matter) in the owners manual. Or maybe, if the belt breaks, Hyundai will just fix it under warranty? Let me know if you've had any experience with this issue. Thanks very much!

That's because the 3.8L Delta V6 in your 2007 Azera has a timing CHAIN that does not require replacement.

Talking Azera Timing Belt/Chain

Seriously!? Well, that would explain it, wouldn't it. Thanks, Nova - that's some really good news.
