Hi there, im here for a friend, myself i am a Nissan/Ford guy but anyway.
He is looking at a 1996 Hyundai Coupe SX 1.8L manual with the POV spec wheels and what not.
It has a few issues most i can fix but i still want to get some oppinions on it
Its issues are:
Leaking rocker cover gasket, Leaking thermostat gasket, Knocking front left strut, Gas boot struts are stuffed and thats all i can remember.

Now the guy wants $3,500 (AUS) i honestly only reckon its worth like $2,800 (AUS) so my questions are:
1: What is it worth?
2: Is it worth getting?
3: How hard is it to replace the thermostat gasket and what tools will i need for the job?

im handy enough to do the rest so those aren't too much of a problem just the thermostat gasket im not sure if i can do.

Thermostat is pretty easy. Follow upper radiator hose to the point it connects to the motor. That's where the thermostat is. Unbolt the thermostat housing, replace the thermostat, replace the gasket, bolt up the housing.
