04 Daytime running lights
I just added an '04 Elantra to my Hyundai family (now have an '01 Elantra, '04 Elantra, and '06 Sonata). On the '04, when the parking lights are turned on, a small light bulb next to the low beam headlight comes on. The one on the right side is burned out, and I can't figure out how to get it out to replace it. The owner's manual doesn't even show the light at all, as if it doesn't exist. Any pointers?
Thanks!
Thanks!

That's not a daytime running light. That is either the city light or position bulb. It it yellow or white?
A = head lamp low beam bulb
B = high beam bulb
C = position bulb
D = turn signal bulb
The position light is yellow but the city light is white. The city light is not shown in the above diagram. I believe it's accessed from under the headlight assembly but it needs to be removed from the car first.

Problem solved! I removed the headlight assembly and then removed the access cover for the low beam headlight. Through trial and error I eventually learned that the bulb housing doesn't screw out, and there are no pinch points that have to be pushed in order to unclip it. All it took was a needle-nose pliers. I grabbed the side of the housing and gave it a tug and it came right out. The replacement bulbs were only $1.75 for a two-pack. Maybe it was such an easy fix they didn't feel the need to address it in the owner's manual.

Run the yellow wire from the wiring harness on the DRL kit to the back of the replacement headlights switch. Probe the wiring on the back of the switch using the test light. Turn on the switch to the running light position. When the test light turns on, you've found the right wire. Cut it, strip 1/2 inch from both sides of the wire using the wire strippers, and crimp those two wires together with the yellow wire from the wiring harness, using the blue butt connector and the wire crimpers.

Lost Little Clip that Holds the springs???
Any idea on how to get a replacement clip that holds on the spring. We tried changing the headlight bulb which we did but it since there wasn't a lot of room and my husband decided not to take the whole assembly out for better access the dumb clip that holds the springs?? fell and disappeared somewhere. We went to the dealer and they said they don't sell that part and they don't use it anymore. All they could offer us was a whole new headlight assembly - GO FIGURE for $ 320. My husband said he would trade the car in on a Chevy and have a nice day.
