1998 Elantra...HELP!
I'm clueless when it comes to cars. This morning I went out to my car to go to the store. I started it and put on my seat belt. I tried to put it into reverse and it woulnd't move. The button on the shifter wouldn't even go in all of the way.(it's an automatic if you don't know yet lol) I did some researched and saw that I should check my fuses. I also noticed that my brake lights didn't work. All of them were out. I checked the fuses and saw that my #3 fuse was bad. I put a new one in and started it. It then went into gear so I figured the issue was over. I drove to the store which is about 2 minutes down the road. I turned off the car and went inside. When I came back out and started the car, it once again would not go into drive. I checked the fuse and it was blown again. I had another spare so I replaced it just to get me home again. I turned off the car once I parked and restarted it to see if the fuse had survived. It has not so my car is sitting out there unable to go into gear again. I really don't feel like changing the fuse everytime i want to go somewhere! I want to know how expensive this repair will be. If it will be too much, it is not worth fixing since this car is a 98 and it has almost 200k on it. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Sorry but you are not only clueless but impatient and rude as well.
Obviously you have a short somewhere in the circuit with the fuse you keep replacing.
