Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default 2000 Elantra Engine "stalls' when applying gas pedal

I have an issue arise while working on my Brake Booster.

I know I have a leak in the brake booster now. But I disconnected the vacuum line to the brake booster and the car idles fine again, but if I give it gas it stalls. Like I'm flooding the engine?

The check Engine light has come on. I reset it with disconnecting the battery cable and it was fine for hours then the Check Engine came on again.

I changed plugs and am thinking about spark plug wires but think it's probably related to the other work I was doing, even though the brake booster vacuum hose has been disconnected and plugged.

I'm really trying to avoid an expensive Dealership Repair job. My 2000 Elantra brake booster is $95 for this part, Hyundai wanted $396.

Labor is of course expensive too at the dealerships (any of them), so I'm trying to do it myself.

Fuel injection system faulty
Fuel filter clogged
Loose Fuel injector wire harness connectors
Defective ECU or information sensor

The ECU sensor is mostlikely the reason your engine light come on after reset but youcan take it in to auto part store and have codes ran on it for free when check engine light comes on
