i lost my only key. Every locksmith i called said they cant do it because it has transponder.
how can i get a new key...and approx cost
note: i have a spare key w/out the transponder in it that only opens the doors.
does the fact that i have a cut key bring down the cost of getting on w/a transponder?

I think the locksmiths are incorrect. I don't believe the 2000 Elantra has a chip in the key.
