Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default 2002 Electrical Issues

Hi,

Im new here, and I have a 2002 Elantra. After a few years of this stock stereo, I decided to get a new aftermarket headunit. With little prior experience, I dove right into taking off the dash and trying to put it in. I know, this was a big mistake. Well, lets just say I messed up big time, I had the wiring all wrong, and ended up blowing the little blue fuse that controls the lights on my speedometer. Replaced it

I ended up looking for wiring information on the web, found one for my headunit, the other for my car. Matched the wires up, and the power goes on the unit, but no sound comes out. I think i messed my car up big time. The clock doesnt light up either, as well as the dome light.

Im a girl with very little experience doing this, and I should have just paid someone to do it, but im a college student so money isnt really there.

I would put my old unit back in, but i cut all the wires at the thing that plugs into the back, so its almost impossible to fix.

Please give me some help!

Sorry, but that was a hard lesson. Be happy with your original radio next time. I don't have any good answers, maybe somebody else can help you.
