Hi to all. My 05 Elantra lower brake lights do not work, the upper one is ok. Just replaced both bulbs of the lower but still nothing. What is my next step? Is there a Brake Light Control Module somewhere? Fuse for Brake lights? I checked the fuse panel but did not see fuses related to brake lights.

Problem solved. When I got home with newly purchased bulbs I noticed the packaging was taped as if it had already had been opened. Tried the bulbs and they did not work. So i remembered I had a bulb from my other Elantra and tried that. Bazinga! It worked. Went back and exchanged bulbs, now all is good. What a pain in the ****! My next step (after posing my problem here) was to take it to a mechanic. Then I would have told him I tried replacing the bulbs as first step and he would have probably proceeded to check elec system and so on, for absolutely no reason. Ugh!
