Question 2007 Elantra rear ended, please help! PIC added

Guys, so I have a 2007 Elantra and it got rear ended this past weekend,
the trunk is completely smashed, popped a tire, back doors are a bit jammed/smashed and the front driver door will not open.

Do you think it'll be totaled???

Was not our fault and we still owe $8400 on it....so upseting.

Hard to say without actually seeing it. My guess is it would be totaled because the cost of fixing it would probably be more than it's worth.

If the air bags popped then it's totalled.

You are right, not all cases. But have a dash bag go off and see how much costs to fix. You are looking at an entire dash board, windshield, control modual.

Yes, replacing a deployed airbag is expensive but it's not a guarantee that the car will be totaled.

Have a car hit from behind and see how much THAT costs to fix. You are looking at an entire trunk, quarter panels, tail lights. Again, that doesn't mean it's totaled.

Thanks guys.

Now, how about the fact that the car is jammed in a way that the front driver door doesn't open, does that mean that the frame is messed up? It'd mean more repair through out the car right?
