Hi Guys,
I just got a 2008 hyundai elantra se. I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a bulb behind the courtesy door reflector. I could have sworn I saw it light up previously however it seems when I open the door it no longer lights up. Also if there is a bulb does anyone know if it requires removing the entire door panle or can you just pop out the reflector without removing the panel?

Ok so you can just pop out the reflector, I was able to do it but there is no bulb however there is a hole like one would lock into place. I don't see any wires. If anyone has a hyundai elantra from 2007 or later please let me know if your courtesy door reflector lights up by a bulb. I had a 2001 that did and this one doesn't seem to be that way (seems odd) however I'm noticing that there are some things not working on this car that should be since I bought it so I want to make sure before I go back to the dealer. I love the car but I'm realizing I may have not have gotten what I thought I paid for with all the issues I am noticing after purchase. Gotta love buying used car however it all falls on me since I am the buyer.

 

Ok I checked with my service department at the hyundai dealership and they advised they are just reflectors that don't light up. Weird since the older models do light up.
