That is all that I have. This problem is INTERMITTENT, sometimes it runs perfect, but most of the time it runs bad to very bad, but only accelerating from a zero accelerator position. Of course it is more noticeable from a stop.

Thank You for posting all the info.

I will need some time to convert some of the info from the measuring system you folks use there compared to the measuring system we use here.

I have some additional information, although we never did a 8 point data scan that we talked about before. I am now getting a rich fuel mixture alarm code.
I have found that when I have the slow and sputtering acceleration the acceleration normalizes at 1,500 rpm and above. This effect does not change with accelerater position. It makes no difference if try to accelerate slow or at max.
I forgot to mention it also, at times, backfires in the exhaust during the sputtering acceleration below 1,500 rpm.

I did some testing today. I tried to hold the engine RPM at 1200 with the AC in automatic mode. The RPM was very un stable going down and up between 1200 rpm and 650 rpm. Then I tried something additional. With the rpm moving between 1200 and 650 rpm I shut off the AC at 1200 rpm and the rpm stayed steady at 1200 rpm, then I turned the AC back on and the rpm went up to 3000 rpm and then back down to 650 rpm and up to 1200 rpm. Then continueing with the same as before. When the rpm is going down and I take my foot off the accelerater, the motor stops running.
I think the problem might be with the throttle body. What do you guys think.

I turned the off and it didn't change my problem with the sputtering acceleration that only occurs below 1500 rpm. What could be rpm sensitive. At 1500rpm and above, I have no problem.

Default Gas vapor purge.

Hanky and group followers, I believe I have found part of my acceleration problem. Before my car had that acceleration proplem 90% of time. Now I disconnected the hose to the vapor purge valve and plugged the hose to the valve, and leaving the vapor hose open to the vapor canaster. Now it runs good 90% of the time. When it does have an accelerating problem it is not as pronounced and hasn't backfired, but the engine still shuts off some times.

Default 3 years and counting

Hanky and forum members. Well, I still have the acceleration problem after 3 years and counting. From zero throttle position to 1500 RPM I still have this intermittent acceleration problem. It might work fine for more than an hour, but then show up again at the next traffic light. During this hesitation in acceleration it might make one slight backfire. I could get to my apartment with the problem, park the car and when I leave it is running and accelerating without problems. Or the reverse could happen, park with everything working fine, but when I leave, it's running bad.

Although my car is a 2012 model and should be certified OBD II, it isn't. It shows OBD I on the scanner so no fault codes appear.

What can cause the intermittent problem? Could it be something mechanical or electrical in the throttle body? Please help, I'm desperate.
