Our 2000 did the same thing. It finally stopped starting all together. We replaced all the sensors, coil. It is not getting any fuel. We have manually checked the fuel pump and it works. There is fire to the pump but it will not pump. Any ideas?

 

It could be a matter or ethanol based fuel, it is corrosive to internal components and seals if the car is not specifically designed to use it. Short of having a computer read your engine, it could be any manner of things including the fuel filter being clogged up. Best of luck and hope you get it sorted out.

 

We gave up and called the junk yard to come and get it. Fuel pump replaced still wouldn't start. Have changed every part imaginable. We met a man that said he had the same problem. Took his car to the dealer still no fix. He junked his too. It will be gone today and will no longer be a problem.

 

We had the computer read previously with no codes showing.
