Default Clock/radio/trip computer resetting

My Brand new Elantra Limited (34 miles on odometer) is resetting the clock, radio presets and the trip computer after shutting down.

Doesn't happen right after shutting down, but if it sits for a while it resets everything but the navigation system. Will be calling dealership in the morning. Anyone else have this problem?

There is a jumper/fuse in the fusebox that is supposed to be pulled up or out (2 different types depending on car) to disengage it by the dealer as part of the dealer prep. This jumper/fuse protects the battery from being drained by things like the radio memory during shipping and storage. The dealer probably forgot to do it. Take it back and have them fix it. You you could take a look at the fuse box. Look for a big yellow jumper.

Exclamation Not the solution!

I had this very same problem that left me stranded at 11pm in a bad part of town where I worked as a retail manager. Apparently when it does this reset my lights come on, which drains the battery. They say it was because of this dealer switch. switched it. Had to call several weeks later because I was still having the same problem. They couldn't tell me what was wrong with it. I've now had the car for 6 months. And I'm sitting at home researching what I could possibly do to fix this problem when I should be at work, but don't have the transportation to get there because my 2011 Hyundai Elantra limited, just 6 months old, won't start. I would like a REAL solution because this dealer switch, didn't do diddly squat.
