Elantra door lock actuator

Elantra door lock actuator
Just bought this 2003 4 door vehicle and the DS door lock actuator seems NFG. All the others open/close with the fob, but nothing at the driver's door. Wiring seems to get power at the plug though. Is this common?
My question is, what's the procedure to remove the actuator? It seems to be a piece of or connected to the door lock assembly, so I took the 3 screws out that seem to secure it to the door structure, but no-go.
Thanks for your help.

I have a similiar issue with Left front door. My lock would activate at the most inconvient times. I found a connector on the backside of the left door lock to have 1 of two locking tabs broken. it appears this senses the position of the lock. vibration would cause it send false signal and lock or unlock doors (as if key was in lock/turning). I removed this connector. Now left door must be manually locked by inside switch or key, all other locks work via FOB. Perhaps this connector has fallen off in your case.
