Chips in Windshield

I've had a brand new 2012 Elantra Touring for just 3 months when I noticed a small scratch. Thought it was on the surface, but after several treatments of various solvents, (bug & tar remover) it's in the glass. And now I have an additional 4 or 5 small chips. They seem to have appeared mysteriously.

Should I contact the dealer?
