Low Acceleration after stoping

Low Acceleration after stoping
I have a 2008 Elantra 2.0 with an acceleration issue.
After I drive it for 30-45 minutes and come to a stop, I push the accelerator down and it doesn't move hardly at all. It is like the car is moving at half the speed when I push down on the pedal. When it is cold and I come to a stop, I can push down on the pedal and there are no issues at all. It is hot where I live (110F) and this only happens when the engine is hot. If I drive it home and let it sit for 20 minutes then it is fine. This car is only drive once every 2-3 weeks.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what it could be?
I took it to a repair place, but they said since there is no check engine light, or there isn't a constant issue, then they will not be able to figure it out and they will go on a wild goose chase.

Sounds like a possible fuel delivery issue.
Say when the engine is cold, the fuel pump is working fine.
After a while the fuel pump doesn't put out the same pressure.
So, the engine can not accelerate as normal.
To test this theory, need to put a pressure gauge on the fuel rail and watch for when it happens
If the fuel pressure is low when you have this issue then the fuel pump would be suspect.
If it is not then must look else where.
Good luck.

A sticky IAC can also have similar issues.
That just takes a can of spray cleaner (Brake clean, carb cleaner)
Spray the IAC and work the valve
While you are there, might as well clean the throttle plate
Good luck.
