Hyundai Elantra While not much larger than the accent, the Elantra offers similar room, but a sportier look and feel, as well as more power.

Default Need help quieting down my cold air intake

I installed a Weapon R cold air intake on my 2004 Elantra GT. I picked up my wife for lunch and she said it was too loud. How can I quiet it down a little bit?

^^^ Yep, that's really the only way. Factory intakes are quiet because of the baffles and sound chambers. Those are also what make it restrictive. Aftermarket intakes make more power because they are less restrictive. They are made less restrictive by removing the baffles and sound chambers.

So what do you want? Quiet or power?

What good would that do? The noise comes out of the pipe hole.

Sure, you can. If you want to insulate the intake from heat. But it won't do anything about the noise.
