Screeching sound when break is applied
Hey everyone, I have a 2002 standard Hyundai Elantra.
Every now and then for a year now, every time I apply the breaks it makes a very loud screeching sound. I'm not sure if it's exactly the breaks because I changed them like 3 months ago. So I don't know if it's something internal.
I'm very open for suggestions guys! Help a girl out.

Hi...,
Usually, screeching sound when braking is caused either because the brake disk is wet or when left after sometime becomes corroded which induce such a screeching sound when disk pad is pressed.
If, that's not the case, by any chance, some other moving parts near the braking assembly might be causing the said sound.
The only way to test this is to jack-up the said wheel that causes the sound, let it turns (while in gear, engine on), and see whether any parts near the brake assembly is touching which causes the screeching.
Just my 2 cents.
